Why choose electric Skateboard or Longboard for transport?

With so many cars on our roads and so much congestion more people are turning to alternative modes of transport. How about electric bikes, electric scooters and electric skates? Ok so maybe not electric skates (next stop A and E please). I’m happy to stand on an electric skateboard or scooter but strap them to my feet? No thanks.

The rise of electric transport has been a gradual one, as technology improves and electric tech becomes more affordable to me and you. There are a number of reasons why you might choose electric tech to ride around on and here are just a few:

Clean

Petrol? Dirty smelly polluting petrol? No thanks. Electric power skateboard and longboard is clean and non-polluting. It keeps our towns and cities cleaner, healthier places to be.

Efficient

Progressing technology since the first electric skateboard appeared in around 1975, battery technology has come a long way. Moving from Lead-Acid to more advanced Lithium-ion batteries. Greater battery life, greater full life, more charges, no leaks, lighter, smaller and more powerful. Batteries and electric motors have come a long way in the last 40 years and more so in the last 5.

Cheap

Petrol is cheap right? Petrol may seem relatively inexpensive to say 1 gallon can move a 2 ton family car around 50 miles. But most cars are only around 40% efficient and so waste much of the energy as heat and noise. Electric motors are up to 95% efficient.

Simple

Less to go wrong, more to go right. An electric motor has very few moving parts. A gas guzzler has 100’s of moving parts. More to wear out, more to go wrong and more expense when they do. Simplicity is beautiful; simplicity is one moving part and a battery. Its electric transport.

Fun

Did we mention fun? So much fun not to mention effortless speed, acceleration, braking and cruise control. Fun to ride, fun to show off, fun to have. Did we say fun too many times? Once more… fun.

Electric Skateboard is the future of personal transport, when will you sign up?
